How Glen Paid Off His Student Loans By Side Hustling On Ebay

Simply depending on the day job’s income may not provide satisfying results, for those who are in the process of paying off their debt. It is becoming frustrating when your paycheck goes to debt, yet the balance doesn’t seem to change, every month. But what are some other options out there?

Here on The His & Her Money Show, we advocate doing whatever it takes to earn any little extra income to help pay off your debt faster. And “side hustling” is one of the things we recommend people could do. Take, for example, our guest: Glen Zubia.

Glen started off with a new chapter in life as a fresh college graduate… and student loan debt that tailed him wherever he goes. Despite having a job and comfortably being able to make the minimum payments on his debt, Glen felt like he wasn’t moving forward.

Seeing that there were many people out there who had succeeded in paying off their student loans, Glen was determined to figure out a way to earn more, pay more, and eventually achieve financial freedom.

Diversifying your money is probably the most important thing to get out of debt.

Glen took the option of side hustling his way to debt freedom via buying items at low prices and reselling them on eBay. As he continued to get better at his side hustle, he was able to diversify the items he sold and expanded the sources and outlets of his business. Eventually, he was able to pay off $55,000 of debt in about 4 years.

Side hustling takes determination and grit. Glen emphasizes “I have to put in the work after work.” But all of the extra money Glen earned from selling on eBay made it easier for him to rid himself off of his debt once and for all.

As Glen’s side hustling income continues to grow and support him after paying off his debt, he is able to reach more goals as he enjoys life with his wife and a house he bought. Glen is also currently helping out other people via his website.
