How Naseema Paid off $270,000 of Debt in 20 Months!

Many people don’t think much about paying off their debt. Sometimes it takes some form of an epiphany before some people realize the benefits of living a debt-free life. The journey to debt-freedom may not be an easy road, but for people who have been through the journey, or are still on the path, they all have one thing to say: It’s all worth it.

“It didn’t make sense to me to be paying these payments over ten years when I could just pay it off.” Such is the sentiment relayed by our guest on today’s episode of The His & Her Money Show, Naseema Simpson. She shares with us her story from a skeptic to an aspirant, to a fighter… and on her way to paying off $300,000 of debt–but already paid off $270,000 in 20 months!

My ‘why’ was I don’t ever want my baby to have to struggle like I had to struggle.

Paying off debt as fast as possible was an outlandish concept for Naseema. It wasn’t an instant decision, but the moment Naseema took upon herself the journey to debt-freedom, she was extraordinary and unstoppable.

Obstacles come unpredictably and it may dissuade other people from continuing their path towards debt-freedom. With Naseema, however, keeping her eye on the prize and having her ducks in the row keeps her undeterred and pushing through life’s challenges. As she says it herself, “At the end of the day I’m the only person who’s going to be here for my baby… I have to keep on fighting for her.”

Naseema has a website where she talks about her journey and shares what knowledge she learned through the process. To find out more about Naseema, check out her website at Financially Intentional.
