How Gwen Saved $100,000 By The Time She Was 25

We have an incredible story of a woman who successfully saved $100,000 by the time she was 25. It’s easy to think or it may seem like financial independence comes down to luck.

Furthermore, the internet is full of accidental success stories and you might be asking yourself, how do I make that happen? Don’t just wait for financial freedom to fall into your lap.

If you envision traveling the world, living the life you’ve always wanted, enjoying early retirement, or whatever your goals may be, sometimes you have to dive right in and make it happen. It might not be fast or easy, but keep your head up and your hard work will most definitely pay off in the end.

On today’s episode of The His & Her Money Show, we’ve brought in Gwen from Fiery Millennials! Gwen is an IT professional, co-host of the Fire Drill podcast.

Gwen is very passionate about spreading the word and reaching her own ultimate goal: financial independence! By the time Gwen was 25, she’d saved up six figures – her story is inspiring and we can’t wait for you to learn how she did it!

For me, it’s about security. To know that I will never end up poor ever again.

One of three kids in a single-parent household, Gwen grew up without a lot of money to go around. Until her mother remarried, and suddenly her family went from poverty to upper-middle-class almost overnight. It was a hugely positive change, and that was the moment that Gwen especially started to realize life’s true potential.

She knew she never wanted to be poor again, so from then, it was just a matter of making it happen. And it didn’t take long for Gwen to stumble upon the concept that changed her life – living well without financial worries, and most importantly, without the corporate 9-to-5.

It’s almost too good to be true, but then there’s the issue of practicality…was financial independence even an attainable goal for a college student?

The answer is yes!

Gwen knew it wouldn’t be easy. Anybody can be financially independent, but it doesn’t just happen, and as a result, she was willing to put in the work.

Immediately she started saving as much as she could, and today, Gwen has several successful outlets and side hustles generating income that will eventually make her dreams come true. As a result, she hopes to retire at 35, and it looks like she’s well on her way!
