How Kendrick Used Proper Goal Setting to Become Debt Free

Debt comes in all forms, from credit cards to student loans, and while it might seem easier to look the other way, the problem is still there, and the bigger it is the more it’s still affecting your finances day-to-day.

Maybe you’ve already thought about paying off your debt, but unfortunately, sometimes financial freedom can seem overwhelming or even just out of reach. That’s why we love bringing you the debt-free stories that will give you the facts, the resources, and inspire you to set your own goals and get started working towards financial freedom!

On this episode of the His & Her Money Show, we’re catching up with Kendrick Harris, a truck driver who completely eliminated all his debt and is enjoying financial freedom to the fullest. Kendrick was deep, deep, deep in debt.

Over $100,000 deep. And once he decided to eliminate it, he didn’t stop until it was all gone, and now he’s dropping all his wisdom on the subject for you to learn, take notes, and get started on your own debt-free journey!

Kendrick’s story started out like a lot of people’s: a mortgage, a car loan, and credit cards. All this made up his $100,000+ debt. But the difference is, he decided he didn’t want to stay living paycheck to paycheck. He was sick and tired of the revolving door of bills, and it didn’t align with his goal to retire by 45, then he found the His & Her Money channel on YouTube and he knew it was time to put pen to paper and get started on the game plan.

Kendrick was already a planner and a saver, two important mindsets when it comes to tackling debt. And he already had the goals to keep him motivated, so all that was left was put in the work. He takes us back through it all, his step-by-step approach and paying off his credit cards, car loan, and mortgage + renovation to where he is today, debt-free, investing in real estate, and looking forward to early retirement. This is an incredible story, and we hope it leaves you inspired!
