In this episode of The His & Her Money Show, we have Monica Louie who is here to teach on how to use Facebook Ads to grow your business. Not new to the show, Monica already was a featured guest on our show two years ago and shared how she and her family managed to get out of debt in just two years.

They were able to pay off their debt of $120,000 in two years and are all set-up in moving forward. Their goal now is to finish their mortgage by the time they hit 40, which is four years from now.

To meet their goals, Monica’s husband took the bus or rode his bike to the office. They also downsized their beautiful six-bedroom house to a three-bedroom property. They even earned money from the sale.

With the goal to bring more money to their income by doing a business, Monica started to learn Facebook Ads and apply it to their family blog business at that time. She ended up with great success with Facebook Ads.

Monica started with a small budget since they are trying to control their spendings while paying off their debts. She started working with big clients and became a Facebook Ads coach in 2016.

Monica Louie now a full-fledged Facebook Ads expert also shared the three main components of how to use Facebook Ads: Firstly, you need to have an offer that can be as simple as a blog post or a free offer, download, or training that people wants. Your offer should be an attention-grabbing one for people to engage with. Secondly, you need to find the right people who are interested in your offer.

 

These people will share and spread your offer to their families and friends, gaining their organic reach. Lastly, make an attention-grabbing ad. This ad will grab other people’s attention and entice them to click through.

 

Monica also mentioned that she started with just as little as $5 a day for her budget. According to her, engagement plays a big role in your ad. More engagement means people are sharing the ads for you. It lowers the cost since it is higher click through. It also means more eyeballs for your ads.

She also shared the common mistakes that people make. People don’t have a clear strategy, what their goals are for their business.

 

They are confused about the different things they want to do, which campaigns to use, and who are the audiences to target. They just dive in and didn’t know what they are doing. Lack of education can also hold you back in Facebook Ads success.
