Side Hustle Challenge: How We Started a Side Hustle on Fiverr

Written by on October 2

For the past year or so now, we have been screaming from the rooftops that it’s Hustle Season!

Hustle Season is a term we coined; to dictate how if you truly want to achieve financial freedom, there is going to first have to be a season in your life, which will require you to hustle BIG TIME!

Our mission is to make as much money doing side hustles, to eventually pay off our mortgage! We’ve shown you how we have flipped furniture from thrift stores. Also, we’ve shown you how we have made over $400 by becoming Mystery Shoppers.

This time we’ve been presented with a “Side Hustle Challenge” from a phenomenal website Fiverr, and guess what…WE ACCEPT!

The Challenge

Over the course of the next 60 days, a team of personal finance bloggers will go toe-to-toe with a team of lifestyle bloggers in building side hustles on Fiverr.

Individually, each blogger will be building their own separate Fiverr hustle. But, the earnings will be added up by teams to declare a winner.

Whichever team of bloggers can earn the most money over these next 60 days…wins!

We need your votes! Go here to vote for us. (*We are the sixth one on the list!)

Our Team Consists Of:

What is Fiverr?

Fiverr is a global online marketplace where sellers offer services called “gigs”, that start at just $5. There are a plethora of services that you can purchase. Such as logo designs, video editing, voice-overs and more!

We personally have used Fiverr on numerous occasions in the development of our YouTube channel, website, and podcast.

When we were first approached about taking part in this challenge, our initial thought was “What in the world are we going to offer”.

We really had to put our heads together to try and figure out what type of gig we wanted to offer, that people would actually benefit from.

Out of those brainstorming sessions came not one, not two, but three different ideas for services that we could put up for sale on Fiverr.

Being the competitors that we are, we want to put our best foot forward so that our team will win!

With that in mind, we decided to go “all in” on the challenge. Instead of narrowing down our ideas to just one, we decided to do all three. We made up in our mind to go big or go home!

We chose to offer two gigs that play to our strengths individually, and then one gig that allows us to use our collective gifts to help people.

Our Offerings

The first gig that is up for sale is podcast editing services. We have mastered the ability to edit and create quality sounding episodes of The His & Her Money Show, so we decided to make our services available to other podcast creators.

Secondly, we are offering a gig where you can pay $5 for us to consult your branding for your website, logo or product.

We have done this type of service for others, and know that many entrepreneurs could use our advice in this area.

To knock this challenge out of the park, we decided to also offer our coaching services through a gig on Fiverr as well. As a part of this challenge, we’ve created a $5 gig that will let you purchase 15 minutes of one-on-one financial coaching with us!

Our plan is to take different approaches to this challenge so that we can share with you our experience.

Make sure you are following us over on our YouTube channel, to stay up to date on our progress. We will also be scoping live on Periscope. We want you guys to join in on the fun!
